Who we are:
Norquest Brands
Private Limited. We're a modest little company in India that makes and
ships bags to customers all over the world.
Our statement of Ethics:
We are very clear on a
few things.
We exist only because of our customers. Our job is to give them the
service and value they desire in the most efficient and courteous manner
possible.
Our customer is the sole determinant of the value she/he seeks. It is our
job to understand and fulfill their desires. If it is beyond our ability to
do so, we must say so immediately so that they may seek other suppliers.
We recognize that our customers have the right to expect the highest
standards of good manners, courtesy, transparency and service from us. We
recognize that it is only through these that we will keep their custom.
Our goal is to make them trust us, like us and know that we will do our
best for them, every time.
We recognize that we can only offer that kind of service to our customers
if we get that kind of support from all our other stakeholders,
which includes employees and suppliers of goods and services.
It is therefore our goal to constantly strive to earn the goodwill and
trust of all these stakeholders by treating them with the utmost respect
and behaving towards them with the same good manners, courtesy and
transparency.
Following laws relating to child labor and fair wages is only the
beginning. It is our job to help them reach their aspirations. In doing so,
we not only seek to be able to run our business better but also to achieve
our own aspirations of being good and decent human beings who wish to leave
our world a better place than we started with.
We recognize that the community we live in is as important a
stakeholder as any other and that it is our duty to be the best corporate
citizens we possibly can. We must always ensure that we never bend laws in
the interests of expediency and never do anything that we would have to
carry on our conscience.
We also recognize that our ability to do the things we’ve listed above
exists only if we run a profitable enterprise in the long run. We will,
therefore, never allow short term opportunistic considerations to remove
our focus from what is stated above.
The founders and owners of this business are clear that we are doing
this to build a respected institution that we can feel proud of, so we will
never undertake any business that strikes us as being unethical or even
mildly shady.
We
enjoy the feeling of being good, decent and responsible people and are
not going to give up the right to continue to feel that way. Neither
will any employee or associate of this company ever be asked to behave in
a manner that he or she cannot be proud of.

Ahmedabad?
Where is Ahmedabad? Here’s a small map of India showing where we are.
Ahmedabad is India's 7th largest city and has a population of 5 million
people. It is best known as India's primary textile center.

Some of the people you’ll encounter at Norquest when you work with us:
Sanjiv
Sood, 46, is a graduate of the famous Indian Institute of Technology at
Powaii near Mumbai. Sanjiv's focus is doing ("I respect people who have
dreams, Sanjiv says, but I am convinced they aren't worth anything
until someone implements them) and he prides himself on always
delivering a little better and a little faster and a little more. Sanjiv is
the super-organizer that keeps this madhouse ticking like clockwork. Always
on the go, Sanjiv is often accused of being a workaholic.
Kaajal Badlani, 30, graduated from the Entre preneurship
Development Institute in Ahmedabad, and continues to be involved with
AIESEC, the international student exchange organization. She brings in the
skills and instincts required to reach across the world and make customers
all over the world feel as though we're servicing them at their very own
doorstep. "I'd like every customer to feel as if they are the only
customer we have and that this is the friendliest, nicest company they're
ever dealt with"
Alpesh Bait, 30, is in charge of logistics
management
and enjoys bringing together all the variables that make great products.
Alpesh is a graduate of commerce and one of his most endearing qualities is
his ability to keep his cool under the most trying circumstances. "Don't
worry", is what you'll hear from Alpesh most of the time "we'll make
sure it happens". And it does!
Manini
Badlani, 51, enjoys designing the bags we offer. Even as we work on
completing our line of promotional bags, she's put together a delightful
line of wine bags and gift bags and is now working on a line of hand bags
and small-luggage bags for you to enjoy using. "Give me anything",
she says, "anything at all and I'll show you how you can turn it into a
beautiful bag!"
Rajiv Badlani, 57, is a graduate of the famous
Bajaj
Institute of Management. He's been involved in the garment industry most of
his working life. He created and owned India's No.1 brand of jeans - Flying
Machine (and still regrets selling it). He’s also had years of experience
in advertising and corporate identity management. Rajiv prides himself on
being able to build brands from scratch and is focused on creating
delight in the minds of the customers we deal with. "Understanding
customers is the easiest thing in the world, he says. Just think how
you'd like to be treated and treat your customers that way
